Because you are alive,

In the face of life’s challenges, you may feel stuck, alone, or disconnected from your inner compass to navigate the road ahead. Perhaps you find yourself coming up against the same familiar patterns and know that the old ways of doing things aren’t working anymore. You feel ready to find a new way but aren’t quite sure how to begin.

You don’t have to carry these moments on your own. Together, we can acknowledge the hard places and remember that there is more to your experience.

You can exhale here.

What can therapy support?

  • Building healthy, satisfying relationships
  • Developing greater self-awareness
  • Befriending yourself (cultivating self-compassion)
  • Navigating challenging experiences, thoughts and feelings
  • Reconnecting with a sense of purpose and aliveness
  • Finding your way through grief and loss
  • Cultivating a deeper sense of connection and belonging

Each of us carries an innate wisdom and a wellspring of health within.

All parts of you are welcome and appreciated – including the messy, tender, and vulnerable ones.

Our early experiences may have shaped our beliefs about ourselves and the world in ways that disconnected us from a sense of wellbeing and inner knowing. Yet, when we explore how we learned to cope within a supportive therapeutic relationship, the wounds that have kept us from the life we long for can become a doorway to resilience, possibility, and transformation.

Hi, I’m Julia

I believe that at our core is a natural wholeness and life force that remains intact, no matter what we’ve been through.  In Buddhism, this is known as ‘Buddha Nature’ – the part of us that is steady and unchanging, with a deep sense of knowing that doesn’t need to be taught. This natural intelligence knows how best to meet our life circumstances, developing adaptive strategies and nervous system responses to weather the storms of our lives. Therapy can support us to access this place of wisdom within.

My practice focuses on somatic and mindfulness approaches that invite presence, curiosity and kindness to whatever is arising in the moment. Your story, feelings, beliefs and identities are held with loving kindness and respect, as together we welcome all aspects of your experience. I am here to walk alongside you and support you to move towards what matters most to you.
